Many of our customers tell us that they have little or no experience maintaining the engines of their used cars in Vancouver. Radiator

The radiator is located under the hood of your car behind the body. In this engine component, hot coolant enters the radiator, circulates through the radiator system, and is recirculated back into the engine after it is cooled. Radiators can sometimes leak, causing cooling difficulties in the engine. Come on in if you think you have a radiator leak; we’ll take care of that for you right away before your engine overheats.

Fuse box

Like any major electrical machine, the machine has to have electricity to operate. The electricity in a car engine is controlled by a fuse box, which is usually located under the hood with other engine parts, but you may also find the fuse box underneath the dash board of your vehicle. Sometimes fuses blow, which requires that you replace it. We always recommend that customers carry extra fuses with them in case this happens. However, if you feel uncomfortable replacing fuses on your own, please feel free to bring your used car in for our technicians to take a look at it and safely replace any blown fuses.

Valves

You’ll notice that there are several valves in your engine. Valves usually control the air intake and then let out hot gases from exhaust. Sometimes valve covers leak, which may mean that you have a bad gasket or a loose cover.

Lexus Plans To Reveal New GS Sedan at Pebble Beach

Lexus says it will unveil its new GS 350 mid-size sport sedan during the Pebble Beach Concours long weekend later this month. The Toyota Motor Corp. luxury brand says the coming model, which is the fourth generation of the GS, will be zippier than past models and deliver a more engaging feel on the road.

The redesigned GS will incorporate the brand’s emerging design theme that includes a tall, distinctive front grilled similar to those featured on some Lexus concept cars. Lexus, long known for styling that lacks sharpness and any sense of adventure, is trying to spice up its image by following other luxury car makers like Audi, BMW and Cadillac. These companies and others have enlarged and reshaped their cars’ grilles to make them stand out.

The company says the new GS will also ”lead the rest of the Lexus lineup in an entirely new direction of driving dynamics.” That means the cars will have more exciting performance and be more fun to drive.

“Today, buyers in the mid-size luxury segment want a more engaging driving experience, styling that makes a statement, and a roomier interior package,” said Mark Templin, Lexus group vice president and general manager. “With the all-new GS, we’re giving them what they asked for, and more.”

Lexus will present the new car Thursday, Aug. 18, during a 4:15 p.m. press conferences press conference near The Lodge at Pebble Beach.
