Lexus Revolutionizes Luxury Travel with the Debut of the First-ever TX for North American Market
June 14 2023,
Lexus has revolutionized the experience of luxury transport with the debut of the first-ever TX, a vehicle designed specifically for the North American market. The all-new three-row SUV, assembled exclusively by Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Indiana (TMMI), ushers in an era of luxury that caters to the diversifying needs of Lexus customers.
The 2024 Lexus TX boasts an impressive blend of practical elegance and design. Lexus has taken its design language to the next level, adding unique elements that ensure the TX stands out in the SUV market. These include the new Lexus "Unified Spindle," which emphasizes aerodynamic performance. The Unified Spindle merges the headlights with a narrow aperture beneath the hood, forming a seamless spindle shape that enhances aerodynamics and cooling performance.
On the inside, the 2024 TX provides a serene, quiet in-cabin atmosphere alongside a spacious luggage compartment. It offers comfort and convenience in every row, with accessible storage and multiple charging ports for passenger devices. The TX even features a removable console lid for the front seats that allows the driver and front-seat passenger to independently open the left and right sides.
The Lexus TX is founded on the GA-K platform, known for its low centre of gravity and optimal weight distribution. Enhancements have been made to the TX’s body to increase rigidity and reduce noise and vibration, ensuring a comfortable and engaging driving experience.
The new TX comes with three powertrain options, including two electrified models: a Lexus-first 3.5L V6 plug-in hybrid and a high-performance 2.4L turbocharged hybrid powertrain. These options are designed to reduce carbon emissions, aligning with Lexus's commitment to a carbon-neutral society.
The TX's range of technological and convenience features were developed with all passengers in mind. Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 comes as standard on the 2024 TX, offering a comprehensive suite of active safety equipment such as Pre-Collision System (PCS) with Pedestrian Detection, All-speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), and Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), among others.
With five grades available: Premium, Ultra Luxury, Executive and F SPORT Performance 2 and 3, the TX offers versatility to cater to diverse customer preferences. The 2024 TX 350 and 500h models are expected to go on sale this fall, with the 2024 TX 550h+ model set to follow at a later date.
In sum, the 2024 Lexus TX brings a new level of luxury to the SUV market, blending innovative design, performance, and technology to deliver a driving experience tailored to the needs of modern luxury customers.
