Three things to know about the 2022 Lexus NX
June 18 2021,
The 2022 Lexus NX revealed earlier this month has a lot going for it with a brand-new design, new technology, new performance features and a new plug-in hybrid engine. There’s really a lot to love about this new Lexus NX. Let’s take a closer look.
It has more performance
The new 2022 Lexus NX will come standard with a 2.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 275 horsepower along with over 300 pound-feet of torque. This makes the NX one of the most powerful models in its segment, and that’s just with the base model.
There’s also a new hybrid engine with 239 horsepower and an average fuel economy rating of just 6.5 litres per 100 kilometres. That said, the star of the show is the new Lexus NX 450h and its plug-in hybrid engine. With 305 horsepower, it can reach 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds, but the highlight is the 58 kilometres of all-electric range it offers.
It has more safety
A range of new safety features are added to the 2021 Lexus NX including:
- Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist
- Left Turn Oncoming Vehicle Detection/Braking that can also detect pedestrians and bicycles
- Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with curve management
- Safe Exit and Digital Latch
It has a new look
The Lexus NX is all-new inside and out and there’s an impressive lineup of F-Sport models that really shine. We also see a new Lexus logo on the rear tailgate which will be seen on future Lexus models, and a new interior with a massive available 14-inch centre display.
