Why Should You Choose the 2023 Lexus RX over the BMW X5?
February 21 2023,
The Lexus RX has been entirely renewed for 2023 in ways that make it compare very favorably with the 2023 BMW X5. Here’s why you should choose the Lexus.
A high level of comfort
The 2023 Lexus RX is the better choice if you are looking for a comfortable SUV that is relaxing to drive. Indeed, the BMW X5 is a sportier model that features a firmer suspension that improves handling but makes compromises in terms of riding comfort. In the RX, bumps are absorbed smoothly and passengers are seated on supportive but soft seats that ensure a high level of comfort on every trip. If you do want a bit more sportiness from your Lexus, the RX500h F Sport comes with an adaptive suspension system that can be tailored to your needs at the push of a button.
A modern interior
The 2023 Lexus RX has been entirely renewed but the changes are the most evident inside, where the new Lexus Interface infotainment system takes place. This technology gives you the ability to control many of the vehicle’s functions using only your voice. Activated upon hearing your or your passengers say “Hey Lexus” this system can interpret natural speech patterns, which means you don’t have to say things in exact order for the vehicle to understand you. Of course, the BMW also has a nice interior, but its design dates back to 2019, which means the Lexus is more modern and technological.
Powerful and efficient engines
The 2023 Lexus RX is offered with three modern powertrains that combine performance and efficiency, two of which are electrified. The standard powertrain is a 275-horsepower 2,4L turbocharged engine that requires only 8,4 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers of highway driving. The RX 350h is powered by a hybrid powertrain that delivers 246 horsepower and a fuel consumption of only 6,3 L/100km in the city, while the RX 500h combines the turbocharged engine and the hybrid powertrain to deliver 367 horsepower and a consumption of 8,4 L/100km on the highway. While the BMW offers more powerful engines, it is also unable to match the RX’s fuel efficiency.
